To deliver Planet Tracker’s mission, the Board has appointed a top-tier leadership team, supported by a team with in depth experience of finance, economics and environmental impact.
Robin brings deep experience of working on global issues requiring transformative change. She has worked extensively in the climate, land-use and food sectors, most recently with the EAT and European Climate Foundations. She brings senior management experience in philanthropy and industry, having headed organisations including the Centre for European Policy Studies and Wetlands International
John has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry having worked in a variety of roles including research, portfolio management and trading. He has also had management roles on both the buy-side and sell-side. Prior to joining Planet Tracker, John held the position of Global Head of Research at Deutsche Asset Management and co-founded Sustainable Insight Capital Management, an asset manager of a range of equity funds for sustainability-conscious investors.
Matt is a former partner at Conservation Capital and brings a blend of institutional financial market, conservation finance and investment experience. He has led investment and advisory programmes across Africa and Europe and managed investments on behalf of institutional investors, including the European Investment Bank, as well as for foundations and family offices.
Gabriel is a CFA and FRM qualified research manager in debt, equity, and commodity markets. He brings over 15 years of experience with extensive technical knowledge on integrating scientific and ESG data into financial models to determine pricing signals and asset allocation strategies. He has led many successful global investment research programs and engagement strategies. He has also achieved the Certified Ecologist certification from the Ecological Society of America.
Peter has over 20 years of financial markets experience in senior management and functional roles on the buy side and sell side. Peter was previously Head of Research at the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS), one of the largest UK private pension schemes with over £60bn under management. Before joining USS, Peter was Deputy Head of European Research and the #1-rated Global Head of Pensions, Valuation, & Accounting research at JP Morgan.
Graham has more than 20 years of experience working across energy, climate change and sustainability. Graham has worked in various roles in energy efficiency, the UK electricity market, the strategy team at the Carbon Trust and, most recently, as an independent strategy consultant helping small, growing organisations across the sustainability sector.
Dominic has worked in marketing, PR and advertising for over 40 years. He spent 25 years in Brussels first as Managing Director of the Brussels’ office of the international PR Group Porter Novelli and then, as Director General of the European Association of Communications Agencies, working closely with the EU Institutions on key industry dossiers as the European representative of the advertising agency sector.
Chris joined Planet Tracker from Trucost, an environmental data and analytics company owned by S&P Global, where he was leading their positive impact work. He was responsible for building, managing, and developing data sets and models for Trucost as well as for corporate, investor, and public sector clients.
François brings more than 10 years of experience working across finance, nature conservation and sustainable farming. Prior to joining Planet Tracker, he was a financial analyst at Exane BNP Paribas and Capital Group, and a conservation finance specialist at Conservation Capital.
Giorgio is a CFA Charterholder with a background in capital markets and economics, and a wealth of financial modelling, data analytics and python programming experience. Prior to joining Planet Tracker, Giorgio served as Fixed Income Analyst within banking and asset management, while contributing part time to a macro & market commentary firm, personally delving into economic & political matters in Southern Europe.
Nitin is an ecological economist and development banker specialising in environmental finance and green economic growth. He established the responsible banking and public policy divisions at Yes Bank where he co-developed India’s first green bond. More recently he has consulted to organisations such as ShareAction and Ecosphere+.
Alexandra is an environmental economist with experience in finance for sustainable land use, financial supervision and investment analysis. Before joining the Institute, she worked at Global Canopy leading their Financing Sustainable Landscapes program with an especial emphasis on increasing the flows of finance towards sustainable land use in Latin America. Previously, Alexandra has conducted risk analysis for the Colombian financial regulator and also worked in a risk analyst capacity to support the management of portfolios for a large oil and gas company. Alexandra is an economist with an MSc in Environmental Economics.
Archie is an accredited ecologist with a history of terrestrial and marine conservation in the UK, Iceland and Malaysia. He has experience in establishing and advising strategy for grant-making organisations, as well as devising and delivering educational programmes for high net worth individuals and foundations.
Filippo is a Python developer with particular experience in analysis of natural capital data. After graduating in Environmental Technology from Imperial College, he worked with two start-ups in the agri-tech sector, focusing on data analysis and automation. Originally from Milan, Italy, he has worked in the United Kingdom, Italy and Kenya.
Arianna contributes to Planet Tracker’s activities with analysis of global policy and regulatory trends and engagement with key relevant global political platforms and convenings. She brings her cross-border experience from her activities at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation and the Russian consulting company Schneider Group.
Bonolo's background is in International Development. Prior to joining Planet Tracker, she worked for a youth engagement and development organisation, supporting leading corporate organisations in scaling their sustainability and social impact goals on a global scale and mobilising private capital towards high impact social initiatives.
